This YouTube comment on this video had me straight rollin’.

You know how you’ll see someone post a video on buzzfeed or the like, and you won’t watch it right away, then for the next 3 weeks everyone you follow on all the sites posts it so much, and you never watch it because you’re like, yeah, I got the gist of it from the title and all the people’s commentaries make you not want to watch it, so you forget about it?

O M G CRYING FOREVER AT THIS VIDEO. I was immediately touched, like my emotions were touched, then around 3:43 I LOST IT.

And that comment Molls posted brought me back down to cynical earth. But really, I’m glad that I finally watched this, after 10 years in internet time had passed.

I called my grandpa today for his 82nd birthday, then talked to my grandma as well. We like to talk about beans a lot, and how annoyed my grandpa gets when she eats too much, because she gets so gassy.

We got on the topic of pets, because they got new neighbors with 3 dogs and she found poop in their yard one day and wanted my grandpa to put it in a bag and go give it back to them. My grandma “hates” pets, but I always remind her of the dog she had when my mom was little and she absolutely adored that dog. She took her everywhere, would cook homemade stews for her, etc. I told her that she should get one like my dog (because he’s amazing), then broke the news to her that we have a cat now.

I was raised to hate cats and believe that they were disgusting and mean. My mom obviously got this from her mom, and I’ve been okay with some cats, but didn’t fully understand it until we found Loki on the street and ended up keeping him. My grandma said “instead of picking up animals off the street, you should just get a child next time.” I said “if I find a baby on the street, I would pick it up.” then I started laughing about finding a baby on the street and being like “oh I guess we should take it home and email some friends to see if anyone wants it.”

Then we just started talking about beans again.
